How We Investigated This

Data Source: All financial data was obtained from the ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer API v2, which indexes IRS Form 990 filings in structured, machine-readable format.

Scope: 13 annual IRS Form 990 filings covering fiscal years 2011–2023. Earlier filings (2005–2010) were identified but lacked structured API data.

Method: Revenue, expenses, officer compensation, other salaries, net assets, contributions, program revenue, and Schedule F foreign activity indicators were extracted directly from API responses. Family-connected compensation totals were calculated by summing officer compensation, other salaries, and payments to MP Films LLC (identified as Cardoza-Moore's husband's entity via Schedule O/Part IX disclosures).

Verification: All figures were cross-referenced against the ProPublica API response. No manual PDF transcription was used for 2011–2023 data, minimizing transcription error.

Limitations: Pre-2011 filings are not available in structured format. MP Films LLC payments for 2011 were $0 per the API, which may reflect a reporting change rather than absence of payment. Schedule F "foreign activities" is a binary indicator from the API; specific country-level detail requires PDF review.

Who is Laurie Cardoza-Moore?

Laurie Cardoza-Moore is the President and Founder of Proclaiming Justice To The Nations Inc (PJTN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Franklin, Tennessee (EIN: 20-3144206). PJTN's stated mission is to "encourage Jewish and Christian faiths to unite together and come to the defense of the nation of Israel."

Before founding PJTN, Cardoza-Moore (born Laurie Bishop) attended KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts in Dallas in 1987, and appeared in late-night "Romance Hotline" 1-900 number commercials. There is a 14-year gap in her documented biography from 1987 to approximately 2001.

She uses the title "Dr." based on a credential from an institution not accredited by any U.S. Department of Education-recognized agency, and was appointed to the Tennessee Textbook Commission to review K-12 curriculum for alleged anti-Israel bias. During an appearance on The Daily Show, she stated "30% of Muslims are terrorists" (broadcast recording available). Her organization published a report questioning the official 9/11 narrative.

Per publicly circulated communications attributed to Cardoza-Moore, she sent Charlie Kirk a text message invoking Genesis 12:3: "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse" — warning him he would face "PERIL" for platforming Tucker Carlson. Kirk died on September 10, 2025.

Per 13 years of IRS Form 990 filings (ProPublica API verified), Cardoza-Moore and family-connected entities (including MP Films LLC) received $2,769,575 in total compensation — representing 24.2% of all donor revenue. The organization reported negative net assets in 10 of 13 years and is currently $358,979 in the red. Schedule F (Foreign Activities) was filed for every single year analyzed, yet PJTN does not appear in the DOJ FARA registry. In 2023, the organization relocated from Franklin, TN to Maitland, FL.
